Marshalltown VE Team adds Special Exam Session

May 18th, 2016 | By | Category: Chatter

Good Morning All,

I wanted to advise everyone that the Marshalltown VE Team has scheduled a special session for ham radio tests in June just in time to upgrade your license for Field Day or perhaps get your technician license.  Also if you are looking to upgrade to Amateur Extra Class now is a good time to do this, the question pool changes in July and the test will likely become more difficult.

I have attached the details of the session to this e-mail and please note that for this session we are in a different location. Special thanks to Marshall County Emergency Management for allowing us to use the facility!

The location for this session will be at the Marshall County Emergency Management Office, in meeting room # 2.   This is located on the third floor of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.

This is NOT in Marshalltown it is rural Marshall County just north of Highway 30 on Jessup Ave. This is about 1.5 miles +/- west of the Highway 30 / 330 intersection.

We will be set up for Talk-In on 146.520 Simplex or on the 2 meter Marshalltown Repeater 146.135+ Tone 141.3.  Or please feel to call me on the phone at the number listed below.

When you arrive you will need to come into the Sheriff’s Office Administration entrance and take the elevator to the third floor Emergency Management Office — Emergency Operations Center.  This entrance is located on the south side of the building and is first door on the east.  If you go in the west door you will entering the jail entrance and that will not get you where you need to go.
