Dean Madsen N0XR, will be giving an updated multimedia presentation about the basics of Field Day for May’s DMRAA general meeting. Elections will also be held at this meeting (must be a paid member in good standing to vote). Everybody is welcome. The presentation begins at 7 p.m. at the Plymouth Congregational Church at 42nd and Ingersoll in the Waveland Hall.

April 24: Social hour, radio programming, and PowerPoles!

April’s meeting will be an opportunity to bond with your fellow hams and meet some new ones over some discussion of radio programming and PowerPole installation. Bring your rigs if you need help programming them or if you need PowerPoles installed. Please note that this is not our normal meeting location – we will be meeting in the rehearsal hall on the third floor way at the northwest corner of the church (not the recital hall we use for Skywarn training). The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Plymouth Congregational Church at 42nd and Ingersoll.

March 27: High-altitude ballooning

March’s presentation will be given by Matt Nelson KB0MGQ, on the topic of high-altitude ballooning and amateur radio. The presentation begins at 7 p.m. at the Plymouth Congregational Church at 42nd and Ingersoll in the Waveland Hall.

Februrary 28: MISA/Skywarn training

The February presentation will be from the National Weather Service for Skywarn training. Non-member amateur radio operators and the general public are welcome. The presentation begins at 7 p.m. at the Plymouth Congregational Church (map) in the recital hall (NOT the normal meeting location). No need to RSVP. A brief Mid-Iowa Skywarn Association meeting will be held at 6:30 prior to the DMRAA meeting.

January 24: PIC Microcontrollers

The DMRAA will be holding its annual special holiday events instead of general meetings during the months of November and December. We invite you to join us for the following events:

Chili Feed & Auction: Tuesday, November 22, at the St. Paul Presbyterian Church at 6426 Merle Hay Road in Johnston (map). Dinner starts at 6:00pm and the auction begins at 7:00pm. The cost is $5.00 per person for admission. The general public/non-members are welcome.
Christmas Party: Tuesday, December 6, at the Plymouth Congregational Church at 42nd and Ingersoll (map) at 7 p.m. in the Waveland Hall. Bring a main dish, side dish, and your own dinnerware.
