January 27th meeting, Commander Brandon Butters of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Division 33, Flotilla 4 will give a presentation of the mission and activities of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Iowa.  Those hams participating in Polk County ARES support roles for the Head of the Des Moines Rowing Regatta may already be familiar with some of the CG Aux members who are also hams.  These include Roland and Norma Newton, Gene Kellogg, Chuck Brudkuhl, and Nick Critelli.  We look forward to learning more about the role of a fellow service organization.
