Nice crowd enjoys the NWS Open House today.  Polk County ARES was an active participant, demonstrating Amateur Radio and answering may spotter related questions.  A steady stream of visitors visited the event which ran from 10am to 3pm,  Tours of the facility were popular and well as many in depth discussions with the many meteorologists  on hand.  Other displays were provided by the 4-H, Iowa Sate University and the Army Corps of Engineers.  Our many thanks to the Weather Service for extending an invite to the ham community.
