MECHDYNE Corporation, was founded in 1996 by three ISU grad students following studies at ISU’s Virtual Reality Applications Center. Following humble beginnings in Marshalltown, IA, Mechdyne has grown into a global leader in virtual reality and visualization technology. Still headquarted in Marshalltown, Mechdyne now has offices in Chicago, Houston, Virginia Beach, Leicestershire, U.K., and Kitchener, Ontario. The company has partnered with organizations in over 50 countries. Jim Gruening, one of Mechdyne’s founders, will give us some insight into the remarkable success and growth of Mechdyne.
