Travel package from Iowa to 2013 Dayton Hamvention being organized
Jan 19th, 2013 | By Kevin Sanders K0KDS | Category: ChatterTweet
Good day:
I am presently putting together a “travel package” through NW Tours to reserve a tour bus with room and board for all interested HAM radio operators who would like to attend the Dayton Hamvention® 2013 – “DX Hamvention” – May 17-19, 2013. If you have an interest and a sincere desire to go to the Dayton Hamvention this year, please let me know. Once I received the minimum number of positive “interested” responses, additional information or FAQ’s will go out and answer any questions you may have.
The “planned” departure would be Friday, May 16th at 5:00am from Fort Dodge with an additional stop in Des Moines – location to be determined. We shall travel straight through to Dayton, Ohio. Departure from Dayton would be on Sunday, May 19th by no later than 2:00pm. Additional information will follow if the initial response to this email is strongly positive!
The sooner I hear back, the sooner I can begin putting this package together and forwarding FAQ information to interested HAMs. These FAQ’s are not committal or payment forms but information only pertaining to the tour Hamvention package and individual rates. Committal/Registrations forms will be sent out once the participant minimums are met. Please let me know one way or another whether or not you would be interested. I am looking for at least 55 initial “positive responses” before I go any further.
Deadline for responses to this query will be no later than February 1st. The program will be cancelled if minimums are not met by the this deadline. Those who respond wanting to attend will be advised whether or not the minimums were met and whether the program finalization is underway.
I apologize if you receive two or more of these emails. I am uncertain as to what email addresses are still valid and who is in what distribution group. Pass this info along if you could please. At the risk of repeating myself, the sooner I hear back, the sooner I can begin putting this package together.
Thank you.
