You won’t need to look very far to find a host of fun and rewarding things to add to your list of to-do items after Labor Day.
- September (September 27th) will be the annual Head of the Des Moines Rowing Regatta. Contact Bruce, KCØZMT kc0zmt@gmail.com to help.
- We understand that the Hiawatha Amateur Radio Club (HARC) will be hosting the annual JOTA, (Jamboree On The Air) at Camp Mitigwa October 18th, Contact Ray, WA2GTM wa2gtm@arrl.net.
- The Des Moines Marathon is October 19th. This event utilizes over 40 ARES operators to provide communications for this event with more than 10,000 athletes. Please contact Rick, NØCFL n0cfl@arrl.net to help.
- What can we say about the Living History Farms Cross Country off road Race? It is a blast. ARES will again provide the communications. Contact NØOOD n0ood@arrl.net to help.
