Many hams enjoyed the hospitality of the Nation Weather Service this last Friday and Saturday. The conference room was reorganized to accommodate two Icom 746 Pros and an Icom 2820 VHF/UHF radios. All visitors were allowed to operate these radios. Many contacts were made to other NWS offices and stations around the county as well as locally. Numerous tours were given of the facility. Plenty of chili and ham & bean soup was consumed. Of course there were cookies and donuts found new homes too.
Our thanks to the Weather Service for their genuine hospitality. Shane, NØZXJ and Brad, KCØOGK, both NWS employees went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It worked!
