Hey everyone,

Paul WØYR and I decided to organize a group camp near the ARRL Midwest Division Convention, August 4th & 5th, at the Linn County Fairgrounds, Central City, Iowa. http://arrlmidwestconvention.org/

I reserved a group camp site at Pinicon Ridge County Park just a mile up the road from the fairgrounds.  https://www.mycountyparks.com/county/linn/Park/Pinicon-Ridge-Park.aspx

Our group campsite is in a semi-modern to primitive area at the park. There is a shared primitive restroom and a modern shower facility available in Flying Squirrel Campground (approx. 4 miles), but no electricity or drinking water is available at the actual site.

We plan to arrive on Friday, August 3rd and stay two nights. I have paid the reservation fee to book the area online, so you would only be responsible for the per unit campsite reservation fee of $13 per night, which is paid on-site. There is a recommended capacity of 10 camping units, so I am requesting an RSVP to make sure we don’t excede the capacity of the site for parking or tent space.

I am also presenting at the Convention on Fox Hunt Basics, Paul and I are leading a Tape Measure Yagi kit building workshop, and we are hosting at least one fox hunt.

Please let me know if you are interested in joining us.
