It is snowing and being optimistic we must look forward to warmer days.  Better weather lends itself to more outdoor activities and service to others.  Polk County Amateur Radio Emergency Service very often provides radio communication to many outdoor events and this year will be no exception.

A list of these follows.  Notably this year will be that last year for the annual Dam to Dam half marathon.  ARES has been an in tragal part of this event for many years.  If you’ve always wanted to work this event your last opportunity will be June 2md.
