Over 60 people atteneded the 2018 version of the National Weather Service’s annual Spotter Training. Brad Small, Senior Meteoroligist with the Des Moines office of the National Weather Service spent 90 minutes briefing the group on appropriate reporting methods and also reviewed cloud and severe weather interpretation. While the majority of the group were Amateur Radio operators there were quite a few non-hams that came to learn. A few of those stayed ater the presentation to learn more about Amateur Radio. Our thanks to the NWS for keeping this this training session on the schedule each year. If you missed the class, there are many more scheduled this spring.
