Thanks for an excellent 2012 Field Day!

Despite some less-than-preferable weather and some minor glitches, W0AK has had one of the most positive Field Days in recent history. Thanks to everyone that participated, either by providing food or equipment, or manning the radios to make some contacts — we couldn’t have done it without you! More than 50 people stopped by our tent at Fort Des Moines park to see what amateur radio is all about. We made a total of 1,362 contacts, down just 6% from last year (click here to view QSO breakdown). All things considered, that is not a bad number. Look for a full recap in the next issue of the Static Sheet.
Do you have pictures from the event? We would love to put them on the website and in the Static Sheet! E-mail them to [email protected].
