The Wintrop Mager Award to the member of the year for 2008 was presented to Lowell Abarr, KB6SDI. Club president Tom Reis NØVPR presented the award at the club’s annual Christmas Party. Lowell has been a driving force for the DMRAA, from serving on the board as an officer and president. Reis described Lowell’s work with the DMRAA hamfest as “remarkable and untiring.” On behalf of the DMRAA, we thank Lowell for all he has done for the club.
