A team of five representing the Des Moines Amateur Radio Association assisted with the 2010 Iowa Public Television Festival fundraiser, manning the phones to take pledges from donors across the midwest. The volunteers worked the final shift of the fundraiser on March 21, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Overall, the Festival raised approximately $1.5 million that will be invested in Iowa’s public television programs.

The volunteer team consisted of Dennis O’Brien KA0DOS and wife Mary, Mark Campbell W0GZR, Brad Boeckmann KC9DMQ, and Kevin Sanders K0KDS.
