Paul Cowley, KB7VML has been appointed Iowa ARES District 1 District Emergency coordinator.  Paul located in Ames has been active with Story County ARES and also participates with Polk County on occasion.  He spearheaded the 1-Day Technician class in Ames last month.  An Extra class ham Paul enjoys foxhunts and QSO parties.

Paul replaces Bob Dittert, NØINX from Perry.  Bob has accepted a promotion in his work and he and his family (Amber, K5SIM and 2 children) are moving to Kansas at the end of this year.  Our best wishes are extended to Bob and our appreciation for his hard work with Amateur Radio and ARES these past several years.
