Warren County ARES could use your help with the Hillbilly Hike on November 4, 2017

Warren County ARES has again been asked to support the Hillbilly Hike on November 4, 2017.
This public service event is a relatively easy one for those new to ARES. We can use some more volunteers for this day. The main responsibility is standing at a checkpoint and making sure that runners safely pass your location. We keep track of the location of the end of the race and pass routine and safety messages as needed.
The half marathon begins at Indianola High School and follows the bike path through town. For operators placed in town, your time commitment is brief… from about 7:00 am until 8:00 or 8:30.
Another portion of the race begins at Banner Lakes and follows the bike path to Carlisle. The time commitment at these positions is a little longer, but we are generally done around noon or so.
If you would like to participate in this event, please fill out the Google form so that we can get you added to the list: https://goo.gl/forms/0P1kQw8MR7jKEJ7p2
General information about the Hillbilly Hike is also available at their website: www.hope4indianola.com/hillbilly-hike
Thanks for your support of amateur radio in Warren County.
