The August meeting of the Des Moines Radio Amateurs Association will be held 7:00pm Tuesday August 22nd, 2023 at the Fort Des Moines Museum and Education Center 75 E Army Post Rd, Des Moines, IA.

I Got My Technician License, Now What?
The presentation will be in the style of a forum focusing on VHF/UHF providing information helpful for those new to the hobby.  Questions will be answered by multiple contributors.

• Why do I have to program a “Tone” for a repeater
• Why does a repeater have a “Shift”
• How do you use an antenna analyzer, SWR bridge or volt ohm meter?
• I am nervous when I get one the air.
• How do I learn the procedures of getting on the air?
