The Des Moines Marathon is rapidly approaching.  It is hard to believe that Polk County Amateur Radio Emergency Service has provided communications every year for this prestigious event since it began in 2002.  As the marathon has grown so has the need for operators.  Rick Allen, NØCFL says that he could still use a few more operators.  It is always a fun event.  If you are new to Amateur Radio, No Problem.  We’ll locate you in a great position.  Please let Rick know if you can help. Send him a quick confirmation and let him know that you are on board. The event generally starts at 7:30am and last until mid afternoon.
