Naval ship named after Iowa ham and radio pioneer to be christened tomorrow

A missile range instrumentation ship named after a western Iowa man, who’s considered to be the “Father of Electronic Warfare,” will be christened Saturday afternoon in Mississippi. Howard O. DMRAA hams volunteer at 2010 IPTV Festival

A team of five representing the Des Moines Amateur Radio Association assisted with the 2010 Iowa Public Television Festival fundraiser, manning the phones to take pledges from donors across the midwest.
