Polk County Amateur Radio Emergency Service will be receiving a Governor’s Volunteer Award from Governor Chester J. Culver during a special ceremony on Monday, July 27 at 2:00 pm at Southeast Polk High School in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.

Members of Polk County Iowa ARES are encouraged to participate in these events as a way to train for and be prepared for emergency situations. If you want to volunteer or need more information, Please contact Craig Long at [email protected].
